I loved the beautiful view from my deluxe double room and the fantastic dinner, especially those heavenly puddings! This place really felt like a home away from home. I'd definitely return!

Enjoyed a cozy two-night escape in the Potter Room. The decor reflected charm and history, with a quiet reading nook enhancing the experience. Breakfast was excellent but consider exploring local eateries for lunch and dinner as hotel prices can be steep. A lovely retreat overall.

The decor felt a bit overwhelming. Too many quirky ornaments and busy patterns might not appeal to everyone. I found the food and drink prices steep, with desserts around £12 and cocktails at £13.50, which felt excessive. Morning coffee left something to be desired, arriving too strong and not up to par with a proper latte. The fire exit door in our room didn't seal well, letting in drafts, which was a bit disappointing. Lastly, the added charges on checkout were a surprise-especially the £25 in gratitude, considering we already tipped during our stay.

A cleaner could’ve done a bit more in refreshing the dining area, as dirty cups lingered too long at a table. Despite a strong start and good quality food, these small issues impacted my dining experience.

Had a great time with the family. The creative Beatrix Potter-themed decor made everything feel like a storybook, and we really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, all while watching the deer lazily wander through the gardens.

It wasn't inexpensive, but the experience justified the cost.

The dining experience was exceptional, featuring well-cooked dishes like scallops and sea bass.
